Maddie fell at recess yesterday, turns out she broke her foot in 3 places. Found this out after I made her suffer with broken bones all night thinking she was just being dramatic....maybe I'll be the 2010 Mother of the Year. I think I've blown it this year.
Oh, and I jammed the tampon machine at the hospital....I should not be allowed out of my house.

Did she get a pretty-colored cast? Is she at the point where she is proud of it?
Each of our kids broke a bone when they were small, doing the least dangerous things. David broke a bone in his foot, from jumping off of a bean-bag chair - about 12 inches off the floor! He had to have a cast & everything. Katie broke her collarbone when she was running down the road (while we were taking a walk). She tripped, fell, and that was that; no cast required. It was hard to believe that those little mishaps could result in broken bones! Both were in the preschool days.
Oh, I hope she gets better soon.
Hey, we have all done this. Lo played softball and volley ball for 3 months with a fractured wrist. We thought she was just being whiny too. 3 MONTHS Mags.
